Personalised women’s running coach
You don’t have to be an elite runner to want to invest in your health and fitness. As your personal women’s running coach I can help you hit your goals what ever they look like. I offer personalised run coaching that is all about you, I do more than just write a running plan – you can get that from an app or out of a magazine. Working with me, you’ll enjoy individualised coaching with a real human who you can talk to and bounce ideas around with, who will challenge and nurture you as you grow as a runner. I pride myself on getting to know you, your lifestyle, your commitments both professionally and personally, if you have a family or caring responsibilities, your running history (and injuries), your goals (what ever they look like), learn what excites you and help you develop a positive mindset. By getting to know you, and combining this insight with solid training principles I can help transform your running experience into a more enjoyable one by offering truly personalised guidance and professional expertise tailored to your individual needs and goals, current fitness levels, considerations or any limitations you may have. There is no cookie cutter or one size fits all with me as your personalised women’s running coach.
Fully licenced Women’s Running Coach with England Athletics
I am an experienced runner, qualified and fully licenced England Athletics running coach for both road and trail, I am DBS checked and hold a FAA Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid.
As part of my commitment to the RunTheShire team I make sure I stay informed of the latest developments in running science and incorporate evidence-based practices into my coaching. I also hold CIMSPA endorsed certifications in Movement in Menopause and The Female Body in Training from the Well HQ.
I am a big advocate of strength training along side running and for me personally it has become a non negotiable as part of my own training. For the past few years I have dedicated time each week to strength training and I have experienced fewer injuries and my running power has improved. Strengthening our bodies, especially women helps boosts bone density, build lean muscle mass, improves metabolism, enhances cardiovascular health, and promotes mental well-being, contributing to overall health and longevity. For runners like you, it can help you attack hills (both up and down) with more ‘umph’, it can help keep your form strong on those longer runs and it promotes quicker recovery post race day. It also helps with every day tasks like DIY, carrying the shopping in from the car, helping elderly relatives, climbing the staircase or chasing around after the kids/nieces & nephews/grandkids/pets – you get the picture. For this reason I am a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer and create tailored strength sessions specific to running for all the women I coach, ensuring you are able to run until you are a very old lady.
Run Coaching – What’s included
You are amazing…
As part of my women’s running coached team, myself and the other women in the group will encourage you and celebrate your achievements, we’ll inspire you to challenge yourself and remind you that you are amazing, even on those harder days when you might think differently.
What ever your goals, from learning to run, becoming more consistent, learning to fuel better, taking on your first 10k, marathon training or even up to 100k ultra marathons, we have got your back and remember every achievement is celebrated.
This accountability and support has turned many running aspirations into achievable milestones for so many of my team. I can’t wait to help you see what you can do.
What I can you help with…
Since launching RunTheShire in January 2022, as a women’s running coach I have worked with first time runners, marathon runners, FKT attempts, ultra runners and everything in between, all with varying goals. I have even coached an aspiring fire fighter to prepare for their fitness test. My team are a mix of runners who are local to Worcester who I see face to face and online coached clients where we have regular online catch ups.
As a qualified coach I will help you avoid overtraining as well as over thinking every little session. I can remove the stress of trying to write your own plan whilst juggling real life. Many of my team use me as a sounding board to run through ideas or goals, and no matter how wild those ideas might seem, I help them achieve those goals, whilst keeping their training safe and fun.
By combining scientific training principles and plenty of communication between us both (I love to chat running), I can make sure your workouts are not only effective but also structured to optimise your performance, minimise the risk of injury and most importantly make sure you enjoy them.
